Salary Range: 120 - 170K USD

Position Description:

An international, multidisciplinary AE firm with strong positioning in Rail Transit engineering disciplines has reached out to us in search of a highly-motivated Senior Project Manager to oversee projects within one of their growing niches: Design of Transit Maintenance Facilities (Rail or Bus).

The position will lead a multitude of projects throughout the Western U.S., offering direction and coordination to the entire team of engineers and architects cooperating on these specialized facilities. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare RFQ / RFP responses. Lead and /or participate in presentations.
  • Manage a project group in charge of the preparation of conceptual layouts, preliminary engineering and final design.
  • Track project actual (expenditures) and estimate to complete against project budget and maximize profit.
  • Work independently and within a team setting
  • Work closely with clients at client locations

Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or Civil Engineering. Master a plus.
  • Professional registration by exam; capable of multi-state professional registration
  • 20 years of facilities design experience, with a minimum of 10 years transit facility design experience, and 5 years experience in the field on projects related to the design of rail vehicle maintenance/storage facilities
  • Experience in bus facilities a plus.
  • Proven experience in project management including cost control, schedule control, and contractual issues.
  • Knowledge of Primavera.
  • Strong in coordination between disciplines (architectural, civil, structural, MEP, trackwork, systems, industrial engineering, etc.).
  • Knowledge of BIM a plus.
  • Experience with both design/bid/build and design/build construction and LEED
  • Strong client relationship and good communication skills.
  • Capable of leading and /or participating in presentations.

There is a possibility that this position will occasionally require TDY (4 to 5 days a week at the project site). Let's be sure to consider your threshold for business travel should you be interested.
