Position Description:
We seek a "Program Manager" or "Director" over several Project teams working concurrently on major Light Rail Transit infrastructure projects throughout the Western US (TX and West).
Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor of Engineering. Masters a plus.
- Professional registration by exam; capable of multi-state professional registration
- 20+ years of experience in Transit, with a minimum of 5 years in a position of project manager of major transit project (s)
- Understands well the different delivery methods of a transit project: Design Build, Design Bid Build. CM at Risk, PPP, etc.
- Understands well how to implement the tools required and manage different type of design contracts: Cost plus, cost plus fixed fees, firm price and category rate contract.
The successful candidate will have managed all elements of major light rail/commuter rail infrastructure development, including:
- Facilities/Civil Design
- Systems Design
- Specialties Design
- System Integration
- Project Control and Administration
Role and Responsibilities will include:
- Assist the West Region Transit Manager in positioning the company for pursuits of transit projects opportunities.
- Assist in or manage the pursuit of major transit projects either as a lead (prime) designer or in a major subcontractor role.
- Prepare response to RFQ / RFP. Lead and / or participate in presentation
- Manage the project group activities, including the management of facilities design, systems design, system integration and project control and administration.
- Work with and be the single point of contact to the Client.
- Work might require TDY (4 to 5 days a week) at the project site.
