Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced manager of professional sales staff to recruit, develop, and manage an effective enterprise software sales force for an established market leader. The territory will include approximately 10-12 Account Representatives throughout the Western US and possibly Canada.  

10+ years of selling experience is required, with at least 4 years in a sales management capacity. The successful candidate in this role will manage the sales function through activities which include:

 

  • Recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring the sales staff, 
  • Strategic and Operational planning,
  • Manage compensation and incentive programs, 
  • Coordinate with Marketing for effective campaign execution, 
  • Develop collaborative relationships with all departments and divisions of the company, 
  • Implement key metrics for performance measurement and sales funnel tracking, 
  • Provide input on pricing policies, 
  • Develop relationships with channel partners,
  • Keep abreast of market trends, 
  • Manage complex contract negotiations.  

 

We seek someone with experience selling to large public transportation organizations.  An individual with an understanding of Transit (Bus) Agency Operations, Traveler Information, or Intelligent Transportation Systems is highly desirable.
